Our History
The Cecil Soil Conservation District(CSCD) in Maryland was formally organized on June 26, 1945, following thepassage of the Soil Conservation Act in the 1930s which created a national program to combat soil erosion. The District was established to address erosion and promote natural resource conservation within Cecil County.
