Scholarships
2025 Scholarship Recipients
The Cecil Soil Conservation District (CSCD) supports students pursuing education in natural resources, conservation, and agriculture through three distict scholarships established in honor of past District Board members, Duty Hevelow, Floyd Allred and Paul Raech, to recognize their service to the community and encourage continued stewardship of the county’s natural resources. One scholarship is designated for a student attending the Cecil County School of Technology, helping a career-focused student continue their education in a technical field related to land use or environmental science. Another award is available through Cecil Community College, providing financial assistance to a college student enrolled in conservation-related coursework or an agricultural degree program to help cover tuition and related expenses. Finally, a third scholarship is offered to Cecil County High School seniors who plan to enroll in post-secondary education, rewarding academic achievement and a commitment to conservation with funds that support their transition to college or technical training. All three scholarships will require the applicant to be a Cecil County resident.
